How do I see my class list?

March 11th, 2008

The instructions below assume you have just signed on to myUSI. However, if you are already on one of the pages listed below, skip ahead to that line of the instructions:

  1. Click on the Self Service tab at the top of the page
  2. Click on Faculty Services
  3. From Select Term page, choose Term and click Select
  4. From the General Services menu, click Faculty Services link (the one between Select Term and Advisor Services)
  5. On Faculty Services - Select Course page, choose the course you wish to look at and then click on Select
  6. On the Faculty Services page, click on Class List
  7. On Class List page, your class list will appear if you have students enrolled in the course. If you have more than 20 students, use the Records: 1-20 21-40 links to toggle between students. Only 20 will appear on a page.
  8. Under Student Name, click on the drop down arrow to view your students local address, phone number and usieagles.org email address. Remember that this reflects the current status of the Student Information System (SIS), so if the Registrar’s Office updates the students local address, it will be reflected on your class list.

Here is a site map for the Faculty Services:

  • Select term
    • Faculty Services
      • Select a course (from your own courses)
        • Faculty Schedule (all your courses)
        • Class List (info by student- major, etc)
        • Registration (future enhancement)
        • Midterm Grading (coming soon)
        • Grade Courses (coming soon)
  • Advisor Services
    • Select a student
      • Student Schedule
      • Credit Override (maximum credit hours allowed per student)
      • Institutional Transcript (coming 1st quarter of 2002)
      • Transfer Evaluation (credits from other schools)
      • Degree Audit (courses taken \& degree requirements)
      • Student Addresses

If you look closely, the section numbers should be different. In other words, the course title might be the same as well as the course number, but the course section will be different. You are teaching more than one occurrence of this course.

Some functions are only available during certain periods. The Registrar’s Office will control what time periods certain functions are allowed.

When are summer grades posted?

January 29th, 2008

For most classes, grades for Summer sessions will be posted in the same time frame that Fall and Spring semester grades are posted. The grades are officially posted at 10:30am the Friday following Finals Week. See this article for more information.

The Registrar’s Office has informed us that there can be some variation to this schedule depending on whether or not a Summer Session class had a non-standard schedule or start and end date.

Generally, if your class met in a time that doesn’t match up nicely with a specific summer session, your grades may not be available until the end of the grading period of the following Summer session. If you have any questions, please call the Registrar’s Office at 812-464-1762.
