Do not give your username or password out by email

Mar 30th

There are a number of phishing scams going around the Internet all the time. When a site like myUSI is undergoing a change, it can lead to confusion among the site’s users if they receive requests via email for sensitive personal information, username’s and passwords from seemingly trusted sources.

To be clear, any request for passwords, usernames, or sensitive personal information should be treated as a scam.

The myUSI support team will never ask for usernames, passwords, or sensitive personal information by email.

If receive these types of requests from seemingly trusted sources, do not respond to them. If you are concerned about them, and want to verify that they are indeed scams, you can contact the USI Helpdesk by email at it@usi.edu or by phone at 812.465.1080.

How can I find my myUSI password?

Why didn’t myUSI accept my Username/Password when I typed it correctly?

Mar 11th

You should wait for the entire screen to load before you start typing your Username in the login box. Many web browsers have a status bar along the bottom that will tell you when the page is done loading. Wait for the status bar to display Done before continuing. Sometimes if you typed a few characters before the page is loaded, the system will “lose” those characters.
